UNARA was formed in 1999 and it was established as a requirement of government compliance with the Montreal protocal. The fundamental role was to ensure technology transfer in the industry of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning sector. This will enable phasing out Ozone depleting and global warming substances in a smooth manner without disrupting the economic activities of the country since refrigeration and air conditioning usage are very vital in all economic sectors.

Through our vast community of experienced practitioners, we strive to pass on valuable knowledge and best practices to our members through hands-on trainings. We are passionate about raising Uganda’s Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry to a global standard.

UNARA is also the official body representing Uganda in the Union of Associations of African Actors in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning(U-3ARC) and other Refrigeration bodies world wide.
